Overview

To provide both a comprehensive and concise discussion regarding the topics within wind energy debates, we have chosen the St. Lawrence Wind Farm as a model for our analysis.  We believe that the research that has been conducted on the St. Lawrence Wind Farm provides us with a wealth of data and insight on subtopics that are relevant to wind energy.  Where it is necessary, information that is not limited to the St. Lawrence Wind Farm will be incorporated.  Data may also be incorporated from researching concerning the nearby Cape Vincent Wind Farm.  Both projects are located in Cape Vincent, Jefferson County.  This is so that our discussion of wind energy is not narrow, but instead attempts to consider a variety of different topics.

Not only are the St. Lawrence and Cape Vincent Wind Farms  practical models for our discussion, they are projects that are relevant to the citizens of Jefferson County, not to mention of Cape Vincent.  In addition, it is a project that has gained a variety of responses from local communities.  Furthermore, as the St. Lawrence and Cape Vincent Wind Farm design and development progress, other wind farm projects are also been proposed in neighboring communities.
